Fields of poppies are blossoming in A/W as the new motif du jour. Scarlet and blood reds combine together to create a soft silhouette of bursting poppies. Dark backgrounds with great depth allow the poppies to rise to surface with the use of dynamic textures and soft watercolours. Inspiration for this trend ranges from Valentino to Van Gogh. This trend represents a timeless floral entering a world of modernity.
