Blooming Beautiful

To follow on from my 'trend of the week' I will also be doing a weekly post of 'designer of the week'. To get kick started I decided to talk about Abigail Borg, who creates beautiful illustrative designs mainly based upon floral's. Abigail graduated from Leeds College of Art in 2008 and was awarded 'New Designer of the year 2008' which is a fantastic achievement. After this Abigail also produced commission's for Papermash, Zizzi and Laura Ashely to name a few! The beautiful illustrations of botanical's and the interesting mix of colour way's really helps to make Abigail's work stand out from the crowd. I love her use of colour throughout all of her designs, as all of the colour's go with each other really well. Also, her decorative detail on her illustrations for me creates a really quirky use of drawing which has a modern twist.
